Mattel Ruthless Aggression Top 5

Image
He we are again guys, another Top 5 list, you know the drill by now, I only include figures I have in my collection. There were 18  overall in this set, I have 8 of them. Was an interesting concept when they were originally announced, I wasn't too sure what could possibly feature as I had zoned out of the WWE around the time of the Ruthless Aggression era, I did see bits here and there but I can't say I am a fountain of knowledge of the RA era. As an avid collector of JAKKS prior to Mattel I collected many RA figures and some did get a release in Mattel form with this Best of Ruthless Aggression series. So, from the 6 I have, here is my Top 5 -  5. Booker T So when the nWo came to the WWE in early 2002 it was Hogan, Hall & Nash, eventually, others would join and there was a stint where Booker T 'was a member' and this figure is based on that, he has the nWo tights underneath the removeable bottoms. I think it makes it into the list soley because it's quirky bein

Top 5 Amazon Fan Takeover Ultimate Edition Figures

Image
With the recent arrival of a new Amazon Fan Takeover Ultimate Edition and the announcement over Wrestle Mania weekend of the next choices (John Cena/Randy Orton - YAY) I thought I would do a Top 5 list of in my opinion, Amazon Fan Takeover Ultimate Editions. I only put figures in my lists I personally have in my collection and as it stands, I have them all, I think the next one is the one shown last weekend in Philly of Seth Rollins based on his look at Clash At The Castle, the figure looks so toyetic, looking forward to having that one in the collection. Just want to say, I am a bit suspect of these polls to choose the attire for these Fan Takeover figures, I just can't buy that people would pick some of these attires over others, let me know what you think about that along with YOUR top 5 lists. So, onto the list. 5. Triple H Based on his look when he and Michaels revived the DX gimmick in the mid-2000's, in fact when the poll was put up they actually said it was based on Sur

Mattel Creations Recent Reveals

Image
So we had the Mattel Creations reveals yesterday, I didn't see it live and I haven't seen the video since but have seen the screen shots but we'll get to those shortly. Firstly, although we didn't expect to see a prototype of the figure we did expect to see the CM Punk figure based on his return last year to go up for pre-order but it on Thursday I believe it was, they announced they were delaying even putting it up for pre-order to   April 7 th  now I believe. I understand sometimes they delay releasing things due to issues at the factories etc but delaying letting a pre-order go live was a weird one for me especially as we know it's a made-to-order figure, I mean, when we do order it it's going to be quite a while before we see it, could be as much as a year Anyway, regarding that figure, are you thinking of ordering it? At first, when I realised it was an Elite rather than an Ultimate Edition, I thought I wouldn't bother as it was street clothes but then

Top 6 Elite Entrance Greats Figures

Image
Good brother Kyle recently did a video of his top 10 Entrance Greats figures, he covered the original run which were basics and the second run which were Elites. I wasn't collecting the Mattel figures when the first run came out and even though I went back and did collect a lot of figures that had already been released by the time I started collecting Mattel WWE figures I didn't go back and pick up any of the first run ones because they were basics although, some look pretty decent, especially the Roddy Piper but anyway, as you will know, my lists only ever consist of figures I own so I will do a list on all the Elite Entrance Greats figures, there's just the 6 so I will do a Top 6. Edit, I just realised, I had done a blog back in 2021 talking about the Entrance Greats, original run and Elites, this was just a reference piece and not a list of my favourites. You can read that blog HERE if you wish. So, onto my top 6 list . 6. Goldberg - There's nothing too outstanding

International collectors to lose out?

Image
There is still time, it may change but very shortly the Mattel Creations 'Coliseum Collections' Hart Foundation is due to go up for sale on the MC website, however, anyone outside the US, definitely here in the UK anyway, will not be able to order it. We haven't had an issue in the past but this was spotted by someone a few weeks ago and as of typing this, the statement which you can see below is still on their website. We all like to moan but I think international customers do get the short end of the stick. There's plenty of store exclusives that are stores that are only in the US so, if we want them have to pay over the odds to independent sellers as they have to get them imported in.  People buy from the likes of Ringside Collectibles directly and pay a premium on the shipping charges to do so when Mattel creations brought out their exclusives it was great that we could order direct from them for a shipping cost that was quite reasonable but now, well, we, as it sta

Monday Night War Ultimate Editions Wave 2

Image
New images have surfaced of the next wave of  Monday Night  War Ultimate Edition figures. We are still waiting for the first wave to hit, there are some people over in the US who have one or both of them but the majority haven't as of yet and I haven't heard of any one here in the UK having any of them yet. Although it's great we are getting the Elite figures of the MNW series, for now at least, we know Mattel ended the short deal that saw the Legends figures come over here, we won't be getting the UE's via Smyths and that came from Steve Ozer of Mattel directly to me on Instagram the other day so now we'll have to wait for the independent sellers to get them in, if they can, and then we'll have to purchase the figures off them but this will come at a higher cost of course, such is life. Quickly sticking with the Elites, Smyths have put up the second wave of the MNW figures, no option to buy yet but hopefully not too long. Also, yesterday images came out of

The March 6th RSC Reveals

Image
So, we were given the heads up there was going to be an announcement from Ringside Collectibles on 6/3, rumours/guesses were being thrown around on social media, we knew RSC were getting an Outsiders Ultimate Edition pack exclusive to them so initially I thought it had to be full images and pre order info for them. After talking to others, it was mentioned maybe it could be the next set of Defining Moments figures, either way, I thought it was one of these two sets. Come time for the reveal and, well, I was a bit letdown. What we got was a reveal of  more re-releases, yes, they may have updated articulation, pinless arms etc and some updated face scan technology but in essence, they are the same figures we have had before. Below are images of the 8 that are being re-released and exclusive to RSC I have all of the original releases of these figures, so I thought, after I got over the let down, I’d not be buying any of these, then I thought, damn, they are RSC exclusives, I have all RSC
