Monday Night Wars Wave 2

Image
We have seen new images, loose and MOC of the second series of the   Monday Night   Wars figures from Mattel. Here in the UK we are still waiting for series 1 to be available to purchase from Smyths. They have been on their website since they were announced a few months back, no option to pre-order so we are just waiting for the chance to order them. In this second series we will have Kevin Nash based on his look when he debuted back in 1996 after he left the WWF, this was a week after his partner Scott Hall had returned too, there is a figure based on that look in the first series.  Also in the set, we have Nash's old WWF character Diesel, but it's not Nash as Diesel, it's Glen Jacobs, more commonly known as Kane of course. Jacobs had been Isaac Yankem DDS but it didn't quite work and after Hall & Nash departed the WWF for WCW Jim Ross developed a 'heel' character and on TV said he was going to bring back Razor Ramon & Diesel to WWF TV. Apparently over

Top 10 Mattel Wrestle Mania Elite Figures

I did a blog on my Top 10 Royal Rumble figures blog (read it HERE ) and now, we are into Wrestle Mania season so let's go down this rabbit hole. There are a lot more sets in the WM series so it has taken a bit longer to put together. Some sets had BAF's and where I think suitable have been included. So, you know my rules, yes, I know, I broke them in my RR list, wasn't intentionally though, yes, I don't include figures I don't actually own in these lists and I don't have any of the most recent set and to be honest, I don't think any of them would make the list. Maybe down the line I can pick up the Pat McAfee one but I'll see. While doing my preparation I realised there was other WM sets, not in sets of 4 (5 if it has a BAF) like my list will be based on but usually 2's but there was a set of 4 way back that featured a Corporate Kane BAF, the parts came with a John Cena, Bray Wyatt, Undertaker and Daniel Bryan with 2 belts but again, when I set out t

Hulk Hogan And Mattel

40 year Hulkamania set We have many characters in wrestling who seem to have plenty of figure releases, for the modern day fan, we seem to have a lot of Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Rey Mysterio and John Cena figures and as of late, we seem to be getting a big influx of Hulk Hogan figures. I have all of Hogan's Elite & Ultimate Edition figures released so far (except the  Monday Night  Wars one which hasn't made it to these shores yet) and I have just one basic of his which was the last one as it was very different.  (Left) Defining Moments (Right) RSC Exclusive Hogan had some issues in years gone by and was removed from the WWE universe basically and this subsequently meant he'd be getting no action figures from Mattel either. He would have a series of figures with Storm Collectables, I have just one of these. However, things were patched up with WWE and Hogan and Mattel got back on the Hulkamania train and started to churn out the figures once again. (Left) Summer Slam

Top 5 Mattel Razor Ramon Elite Figures

Image
I have done a blog before looking at  Razor/Hall figures but I finally thought it was the time to do a Top 5 Razor Ramon Elite figures now we have just had the 5 th  released. So, first off, before receiving the recent Wrestle Mania X one, I had changed the heads on all my in ring gear Ramon's using the extra heads from the two Ultimate Edition figures but the pictures you will see in this list will be as they came originally and at the end I'll post a picture of mine with head swaps and one has a boot swap too. Onto the Top 5 list: 5. Defining Moments : This was the only Ramon Elite we had for so long, I think with the edition of the Ultimate Edition (chase) which is basically just an UE verion of this it was easy to put this one here, although my one looks way better and is probably my favourite, more on that later. 4. Flashback Series: This is the only one I won't be changing the head on in the future as it has a toothpick and that is cool I think. 3. Legends Series 7:
