The Defining Moments Line Part 3

Welcome to the third and final part of my look at the Defining Moments line. In the first 2 parts I think the peak of this line was covered but let's see what else we got. So, May 2016 saw another Sting being released and this was a 'Surfer' Sting and he was decked out in his ring attire that he wore at the WCW Great American Bash of 1990 and that was a Defining Moment as it was the, well, was supposed to be, the passing of the torch as Sting won his first world title defeating Ric Flair. This figure had a variant of sorts, the first release had the boots with laces and the second one was more accurate as it didn't have laces just like the boots he wore in the match. It's an OK figure, nice display piece and as I said, every bit a defining moment. Next up in July we had another Ultimate Warrior and this is one of the figures where I believe doesn't fit into the defining moment category. It is based on his Ultimate Maniacs tag team which was with Randy Savage and...

Welcome back guys to my second look at the Defining Moments line, if you didn't read part one, you can see it HERE . So last time I wrote about the first 8 releases in the line, so let's  continue. The ninth release in the line saw the first John Cena of the line, decked out in orange in his 'Thuganomics' phase he came with 2 spinner belts, the US championship and the WWE world  championship. While not a Cena fan, the figure does look great on display.  Also released at this time was what is considered many peoples favourite Defining Moment figure, based on his appearance at the In Your House 'Canadian Stampede' PPV from 1997 - Bret 'Hitman' Hart. It's an iconic look for the Hitman at a great time in wrestling as he comes with the shades, leather jacket, WWF title and Canadian flag. It really is a great figure and even if you can't get all the figures from this line, if you get this one, you have a great figure in your collection. Not easy to get...

The Defining Moments Line Part 1

Welcome back guys, so as you will know if you have read my previous blogs, the original run of Legends is my favourite line released by Mattel and there have been some other exceptional figures released as exclusives to say Ringside Collectables, which I will be writing about in the future but probably my next favourite line is the Defining Moments, and there have been some great figures in the line, based on, Defining Moments if you will but some, well, didn't really belong in the line. Any fans of the JAKKS line will know, they NEVER released a figure of the Macho Man Randy Savage, there were many things going on behind the scenes as to why this was but when Mattel/WWE decided to start this line, a line that was going to be at a higher price point than the figures already released by them then they had to come out the blocks firing and oh boy, did they ever.   One of the best matches in the early Wrestle Mania's was from WM VII and this saw Savage face off ...
