Welcome back everyone, hope you have all been well.   As you can see by the title, I am doing my top 5 Mattel Hulk Hogan list today. Inspired by Kyle Peterson's recent Top 10 overall Hulk Hogan figures list (find it on YouTube) I thought I would do this list. As you will know, I always do top 5's, I would do a top 10 but he hasn't had enough Elite style ones. I will also include his first Ultimate Edition too, as it stands, no one has his second Ultimate Edition and I don't have the recent Elite that came out in the Survivor Series line, I will pick it up despite the weird scan (much like the Bret Hart one in the same series). Hi all, it's a bit after the fact but I felt I needed to write about the recent WWE/Mattel reveals. We had seen leaked lists and even the packaging of one of the figures, front and back, so we knew what to expect for the Legends line at least. The Legends line, well the original Legends line, is my favourite line from Mattel, some of them are really outstanding. Since the re-launch with series 7 some have been very good and some have failed to impress. So, you know what this is, let's have a look at the reveals from WWE/Mattel yesterday over at the WWE's website. There were loads of images shown and you know me, I am into the Elites and Ultimate Editions but there just won't be enough space to show them all here so I will add the best bits, best that are in my opinion of course. They had some WWE/Masters of the Universe figures to show first, not a line I am remotely interested in. Before I was into wrestling, in fact, way before, I was into wrestling I collected MOTU figures as a kid, recall pestering my mom to get me Trap Jaw. Any readers collect these crossover figures? Basic Championship Showdown packs up next, another line I don't collect. They showed a Mankind/Austin set followed by Big Boss Man/British Bulldog in jeans and then Trish Stratus/Chyna. Hi all, seems like a long while since I wrote something on the blog when in fact it's only been a few days. Anyway, today I want to write about the Entrance Greats, the first run was before I was collecting Mattel figures, so they had been and gone before I started to collect and to be honest, despite most of them looking great, the fact they were basic figures takes the shine off a little and they are not figures I have tried to track down. So, they were released in series, the first featuring Triple H, Rey Mysterio & Shawn Michaels. Triple H was based on his look from Wrestle Mania 22 where he faced John Cena, Triple H in this one, as you can see by the image had somewhat of a Conan The Barbarian look. It looks pretty decent and like many in the original run of Entrance Greats, would've been great as an Elite, I am sure, like with many in the line, people have taken the entrance gear and added it to a future Elite figure.
