Thoughts on the new figure reveals with added Terry Gordy spiel

Image
We have seen some new reveals recently, nothing mind-blowing but one figure I am really into. Yes, Mattel/WWE released images of the figures in Elite series 108. The first Elite of LA Knight is in this series, I had pre-ordered this on Smyths website a day or two before. I know his basic was very popular as I guess his character is. Also coming out in the series 108 is, well, lets just cover first the others I hope to get from this set, Omos, I didn't pick up his first Elite, it was a bit plain, this one is a tad better, another I hope to grab is Terry 'Bam Bam' Gordy. This is a two in one figure so I will be looking to grab two of them, it's a two in one because in the autumn of 1996 Gordy came in as 'The Executioner' and got involved in the Undertaker/Mankind feud and then he had short run in the company.  Gordy of course had a storied run in pro wrestling way before this, along with Michael PS Hayes and Buddy Roberts as the 'Fabulous Freebirds' they w

My Top 10 Royal Rumble Series Figures

Image
I put out a tweet (or is it a post now as it's X and not twitter?) yesterday as of writing this about a certain figure in the Royal Rumble series from Mattel asking is it the best and if not, which is? So, anyone who saw that (or the post on facebook) will know what is going to be my number one in this Top 10 list but before I do I want to cover something I think I have before but it relates to this series of figures and it really annoys me.  As we all know, most of these RR sets come with the parts to build a figure and the parts are usually spread out over the 4 figures but a couple of sets ago, Mattel released a set and were a bit crafty really, I mean I can see it from a business point of view but in a way, I can't, I just think it was crappy and, well, it got worse for us here in the UK. So, the set I am talking about is the Dok Hendrix BAF set, it was comprised of Vader, Damien Priest, Rey Mysterio & Brie Bella. When I spoke about the parts being spread over the 4 fig

It was great while it lasted: Legends figures coming to an end in the UK

Image
It has been a couple of weeks since it was announced by Wrestling Shop that the Legends series in the UK would be coming to an end. We started getting them with series 19 after having to pay inflated prices as UK traders would have to import them in, I also bought directly off a guy in the US too but again, cost more than they did when we could get them from the UK retailers when they were released to the independent sellers (and Smyths) over here. It's a real kick in the nuts for all of us I imagine, especially me who collects all Legends figures except the female ones in the line which isn't a lot really, in fact, I think there has only been 4 females and I do have one of them, Chyna so I could complete the DX Army. Legends 21 Hulk Hogan The next series has 5 figures in so now I dread to think how much that will cost me. apparently, a reason given for them being withdrawn is that in retail as the price was increased compared to regular Elites and people just were not buying o

Top 10 Exclusive Ultimate Edition Figures

Image
We have had a lot of Ultimate Edition releases of course and these have included store exclusives or online retailer exclusives so I thought I would do a Top 10 of my favourites, as ever, I only ever do these kinds of lists consisting of figures I actually own and luckily, I have all the exclusives released so far, well, the Summer Slam 1991 is starting to hit stores in the US and I have pre-ordered one from The Whole Shebang so hopefully I'll have that before the end of the month. I have decided NOT to include Coliseum Collection ones. So, let's get started, again, this is my list, it may not be the right list, just mine, please get in touch on twitter/X or instagram, find links to all my accounts HERE and give me your lists. 10 The Undertaker (Survivor Series Set): This came with a Gobbledy Gooker figure too, not going to lie, I am a loose collector but that one is still in the box, won't have that on display. So, this Undertaker is based on his debut at the Survivor S
