New Amazon Exclusive 2-Pack Revealed

Image
Hello all, we are on the eve of the 2023 SDCC where we expect to see plenty of reveals of new WWE figures that will be released by Mattel in the future months. We have had a leak of sorts already as there has been a reveal of another Amazon exclusive 2-pack that will arrive around February time. It has been a long time coming from Mattel as it's a set based on the first ever PPV ladder match which took place at Wrestle Mania X in 1994. We have had a set like this in the past from JAKKS but this will be the first time since Mattel took the WWE licence to produce action figures. We have had the Michaels previously, albeit slightly different as far as the sunglasses go and this one with have the updated pinless elbows. I have that one in my collection but I am guessing there maybe a few that do not so this will be a great chance to pick this figure up. For me though, after all the Razor Ramon's we've had, to finally get this one, is great. However, when you look at it, and it...

Various News (Weekending 15/7/23)

It has been rumoured for a few weeks and some images actually leaked online but today, Mattel Creations confirmed that in fact the SDCC exclusive would be Ali based on his look when he was the ringside enforcer/referee at Wrestle Mania I and also in the package there is an Ali in his boxing gear. It will be available to pick up in person at SDCC which starts on July 20th for a few days, I think us that won't be in attendance can order them from Mattel Creations on July 21st. I am not blown away but of course will order them because they are Ultimate Edition figures, if for whatever reason they'd have been Elites I'd have waited to see if I could pick them up down the line. Elsewhere, many have received their Mattel Creations Cody Rhodes Ultimate Edition, including myself, there are some that still haven't and there are some that ordered that and the Logan Paul Ultimate Edition and received the latter and not the former. myself, as stated, I have my Cody Rhodes but not m...

Wrestle Mania Weekend Figure Reveals And More

Image
Hi all, it's been a while, I hope you are all well, I personally am not, had a bout of sciatica and I am still off work with it after about 3 weeks. So, it's that time of year, Wrestle Mania is around the corner and that means new figure reveals at the Axxess type events across the pond. As of writing this, I don't think they are finished as there are figures we are yet to see that I thought we would, I'll probably talk more about that later. Before I get onto the WM reveals I want to talk about the latest Mattel Creations crowd funder. So, anyone reading this will know that it is a WCW Nitro stage, with LED lights, the lot. It comes with a figure, then if 5k have backed it before a certain date then there will be another figure. After that, there is an option for another 3 figures, 7k, 9k and 11k will see those being unlocked. Now, the price in USD is $400 plus taxes and shipping. For us in the UK in GBP it was originally up for £470 with shipping at £9. So, there ar...

Annoyed

No top 10 list today, I mentioned on a blog a few weeks ago there was a rumour that some figures that haven't been in retail in the past will soon be appearing, these being Ultimate Editions and Legends figures. Not sure if the upcoming UE's of Razor Ramon & AJ Styles will hit UK retailers but I am told the Legends set with the Headshrinkers/SST, Paul E. Dangerously & Hogan will be hitting UK retail and if so, will it be all of them and the reason I say that is because anyone reading this from the UK will know, the main retailer here in the UK for wrestling figures is Smyths and they have a habit of not releasing full waves of figures. Elite 100 has just recently been released and they haven't had all the figures from that wave and it was after trying to track down a figure from the 2023 Royal Rumble set that made me want to write this blog.  There are 4 figures in the set and all have BAF parts, more on that shortly, however, not just Smyths but one of the figures ...

More Ultimate Edition talk, who do YOU want to see in the line?

I have just taken delivery of the new Kane Ultimate Edition figure that came with the RAW ring available from Mattel Creations. Next up we have Razor Ramon (with Chase) and AJ Styles in the regular UE line and we should be also getting, in the summer the Mattel Creations exclusive UE Cody Rhodes and next year the MC exclusive Logan Paul. A follower of mine on twitter, told me the next UE releases after Ramon/Styles are Andre The Giant/Seth Rollins. Now, we always do our wish lists of figures we want to see and a lot of the time, there are no deals done to make this possible, the wrestling personalites have to a deal with the WWE, not with Mattel. I am not one really for re releasing of figures but there are some figures that have been released in the past that could possibly be tweaked and then released as an Ultimate Edition but, although, we were lucky enough to get some great figures in the past of particular wrestlers but for various reasons, a lot due to lawsuits over concussions....

Top 10 Mattel nWo Figures

Image
Welcome all, it's been a while. I am going to go with another list today and as you can see by the title, it's Elite/Ultimate Edition style nWo related figures released by Mattel, nothing is out of bounds, as in, original nWo, Wolfpac or WWE's version of the nWo. There is a lot to choose from so it won't be easy, please, after reading my list, please send me yours. I have made a list of them seperately and I have all on my list except 3, one of those 3 is on it's way to me but to be honest, I don't think they will make my list of 10 anyway. 10 Hulk Hogan (WM Series Elite)   This is the most recent figure on the list, it's a good figure, from that amazing moment of when he faced The Rock at WM X8. Like a lot of Hogan figures, it has a number of faults, skin tone, actual body use, headscan even and something, that really irks me, the glasses, they are an odd shape to me, unlike the ones that are with the UE version. Had a debate wit...

WWE/Mattel To Make Legends/Ultimate Editions Available in UK

Image
Interesting news this week for us collectors in the UK. Will from Toys & Masks said that in the future Mattel UK will be distributing Legends figures as well as Ultimate Editions. This is great news as well know, if you want these figures in your collection, as it stands, you pay over the odds either from having them imported over, ebay or the independent UK sellers who also have to charge a premium I guess because it costs them a bit more to get them over, hey, that's not a knock, if we want them and they can get them but you have to pay for the privilege then that's the way it goes, no one says we have to purchase them, we just choose too and speaking for myself, I try and get all the Legends and Ultimate Editions other than, like the regular lines, female figures. I am not sure there is any details on when this will start but I hope it's not too far away. I was asked on twitter when I posted this news up, will this include the likes of Smyths too, I'd like to s...
