It was great while it lasted: Legends figures coming to an end in the UK

It has been a couple of weeks since it was announced by Wrestling Shop that the Legends series in the UK would be coming to an end. We started getting them with series 19 after having to pay inflated prices as UK traders would have to import them in, I also bought directly off a guy in the US too but again, cost more than they did when we could get them from the UK retailers when they were released to the independent sellers (and Smyths) over here. It's a real kick in the nuts for all of us I imagine, especially me who collects all Legends figures except the female ones in the line which isn't a lot really, in fact, I think there has only been 4 females and I do have one of them, Chyna so I could complete the DX Army.

The next series has 5 figures in so now I dread to think how much that will cost me. apparently, a reason given for them being withdrawn is that in retail as the price was increased compared to regular Elites and people just were not buying or it was a case of kids who were going into the stores were not familiar with the Legends and that's why they didn't sell, could be one of those reasons, a combination of both or something else, maybe we'll never know.

It's a real pain, but what can you do, no one makes me collect them haha. It may I guess sour some people though and they may give up, I do often ask myself how long can I go on for, there must be a time when I stop collecting, when JAKKS stopped making WWE figures that was it for me, I thought I wouldn't be getting into any more lines then my eldest son asked me to get him a two-pack of basics, Rey Mysterio & Bourne but I thought that's OK, he didn't as for any more after that, he did what I should have, lost interest in figures. Then, as I was an avid follower of independent wrestling, when Sami Zayn's first Elite figure came out (Elite 40) and I thought I have to get it as he was one I saw plenty of on the indies under a previous guise, what a mistake that was, I say mistake because a switch was flipped and I went on a mad one collecting all the legends I could get my hands on, many exclusives (I have all WWE RSC exclusive figures by Mattel), loads from the Elite lines, pre and post series 40 and so on.

I think I have gone enough so that's it for this one, what are you guys going to do, still collect them paying higher prices, buy just some of them or just bother at all?

So, we were given the heads up there was going to be an announcement from Ringside Collectibles on 6/3, rumours/guesses were being thrown around on social media, we knew RSC were getting an Outsiders Ultimate Edition pack exclusive to them so initially I thought it had to be full images and pre order info for them. International collectors to lose out?

There is still time, it may change but very shortly the Mattel Creations 'Coliseum Collections' Hart Foundation is due to go up for sale on the MC website, however, anyone outside the US, definitely here in the UK anyway, will not be able to order it. We haven't had an issue in the past but this was spotted by someone a few weeks ago and as of typing this, the statement which you can see below is still on their website. We all like to moan but I think international customers do get the short end of the stick. There's plenty of store exclusives that are stores that are only in the US so, if we want them have to pay over the odds to independent sellers as they have to get them imported in.  People buy from the likes of Ringside Collectibles directly and pay a premium on the shipping charges to do so when Mattel creations brought out their exclusives it was great that we could order direct from them for a shipping cost that was quite reasonable but now, well, we, as it sta...

Target (Argos in the UK) NXT Exclusives

Welcome all, I hope you're all well. The grind continues, today I’ll be taking a look at the NXT series of figures that were exclusive to Target in the US but in the UK surprisngly they were available in Argos, it's a shame they didn't do that with other US exclusives because if they had of, we'd have saved a pretty penny over the years. So, the first series consisted of 4 figures, I own 2 of the 4, still want No Way Jose, passed on him so many times but wish I hadn't.
