My Top 10 Ultimate Edition Figures List

Hi all, welcome back, and if it's your first time here, thanks for giving it a read. It has been a while since I last wrote a blog, apologies for that.

We are coming to the end of the year, and a lot of people will be doing posts, blogs and videos on their favourite figures of the year, I won't do that but since I last wrote about the Ultimate Editions many more have been released so I want to do a top list of my favourite UE's, don't forget, the list can't be wrong because it's MY list, you may agree but chances are, you'll disagree, which is fine, it's all about opinions, feel free to let me know wherever you see this posted on social media what your choices of the top UE figures are to date.

Anyone that has been following me for a while will know that I don't include figures in my lists so as it stands right now, I don't have CM Punk or The Steiners and from the last set that had a general release as such (Dominik Mysterio, L.A Knight and Rey Mysterio) I only have Dominik until I get them delivered. And finally, for those who don't know, I don't collect female figures be that in the UE, Elite or Main Event lines, as it stands, I have just one female figure in my collection and that is Chyna in the Legends series to collect the DX army.

So, here we go with my list -

10. Shawn Michaels (Amazon Exclusive, Fan Takeover)

I am suspect of these Fan Takeover polls, maybe that's just the conspiracy theorist in me but with this Michaels, I am glad it won because it is a very good figure indeed. People say there's a lot to be desired of the WWF back then when this figure is based, mid-90's I'd say, but they hit it out the park with this figure.

09. The Ultimate Warrior (Summer Slam 91)

I spoke about my suspicions of the Fan Takeover polls previously and although this wasn't one that was in one of those polls, he has featured and the one that 'won' was the one based on his look from Wrestle Mania VI, we had the figure previously (twice in fact in the Elite 'Lost Legends' and Legends lines, I have both) so when I saw the WM VI up as a choice I was a bit letdown, he was up against one that I wanted to see in figure form for a long time, Elite or UE (we did get it in Elite form eventually in the Survivor Series collection) but we got the WM VI one and I didn't like it, not just because we'd had the attire more than once previously but because I didn't rate the face scans that came with the figure.

Anyway, getting back on track, this Summer Slam Warrior has been a want for me for a long time, is it perfect, no, again, face scans but my word, overall, it is a very nice looking figure. The only figure from the match it was based on we are missing now is General Adnan, in the Elite lines we've had Sgt Slaughter, Col. Mustafa, Sid Justice as the referee and with the Hogan, we haven't had one that has been released as a Summer Slam 91 Hogan but we have had figures that look very similar.

08. Triple H (First release)

I think this Triple H is very underrated, it got a re-release as well, I don't buy the re-releases, well, not all, as you will see later in the list. This was his first UE figure, we got a Fan Takeover one based on his DX look when he and Michaels brought it back in the mid-2000's and there is one out in the US right now that I will have soon hopefully when it makes it to these shores but back to this one, as I said, I think it's underrated, good figure with decent accessories like a hat, chainmail, water bottle and sledgehammer oh and big eagled belt.

07. The Rock

This is a great UE figure, shot up in price at one point as it seemed to be hard to obtain for many, also, there were a lot with factory errors as there were some that instead of Rock's shirt on they had Eddie Guererro's I'm Your Papi one. Down the line, there would be a Target exclusive that looked similar but not quite the same and then, further down the line Mattel would re-release it with update butterfly joints. I really am a fan of this Rock figure, my favourite on of his UE figures.

06. Vader (Regular)

Mattel announced this figure and many were excited as it would be the first time people would get the chance to have a Vader figure with the cape, the original Legends Vader years ago had a cape but the figure was an Elite of course. This time around they released the UE with a chase version too, both came with a cape but for me, I like the regular one more because the ring gear he's wearing reminds me more of his WCW look when he wore the cape, the chase looks more like his WWF look where he didn't wear the cape, maybe he wore similar gear in WCW too, not sure. One of the head scans on the Vader is excellent and that is the one you can see in the picture here.

05. Razor Ramon (Regular)

This figure is just great, love the Razor Ramon figures, especially ones with the new head scans and they originally came with this UE figure, I used the spares from this and the chase for my various Elite Razor Ramon/Scott Hall figures and still didn't have enough, I had to use some off the more recent Scott Hall 'Outsiders' UE figure.

04. Seth Rollins (Fan Takeover)

The first Rollins UE was a very good figure and is an honourable mention outside this top 10 but this one, is really, really nice, I know it is missing some details like the back tattoo but overall, it is an excellent figure, I imagine a must for most collectors.

03. Kevin Nash (Outsiders)

The Elite version of this has always been a sought-after figure and when Mattel decided to re-release figures, I was sure this would be in there but of course, all along, their plan was to release this Ultimate Edition. Whereas the Scott Hall in this set isn't great, the Nash is very good.

02. Roddy Piper (WCW)

Can't rave enough about this one, as soon as I saw this one, I was chomping at the bit to get it. It's simply just outstanding. The Piper one released in the Coliseum Collection set was good but this one is just amazing.

01. Hulk Hogan (nWo re-release)

The original release of this figure was always my favourite UE figure and although I haven't bought any of the other re-releases I knew I would have to get this one. Not fussed about butterfly joints but the change in skin tone is great. So many Hogan figures have been improved, skin tone and torso shape and it just makes them look so much better.

So, there we have it guys, that is MY Top 10 Ultimate Edition list, you may have some of these in your top 10, you may have none of them, no list is wrong as it's personal choices, please, let me know your top 10, either on X or on whatever facebook page you see this list.

Thanks for reading.
