WORST RSC Exclusive Mattel Figure



I put a tweet up recently asking other than the Kurt Angle in the Shield attire, what is the WORST Ringside Exclusive WWE/Mattel figure?

As of writing this, there a just a couple of replies. For a RSC exclusive I think the figure should really be something special. I buy them all because it's a line I want to complete and as of now, I have all the ones released so far with the most recent one being the Undertaker one where the figure was nothing special but it did come with a first time in the line belt, the 2001 tag team one which he held with Kane. 


I saw a reply to a tweet I put up when I received that figure that basically said, they shouldn't release figures like this with one tag belt unless, it's confirmed that the partner is being released with a belt too because what people do of course when this happens, is buy a second figure of the same person so they have a pair of title belts. I did this myself when the 'Stunning' Steve Austin came out, luckily I was able to sell the figure on minus the belt, others I saw do a head swap and put a Brian Pillman head on but I don't think the heads of the Pillman figures released (especially the regular Elite line one) is a match for how Brian looked back then when he was in the Hollywood Blondes with Austin (LOVED that team).

I also bought a second RSC Exclusive Cactus Jack as that came with an ECW tag team title, now the belt doesn't match the time frame from when Cactus was ECW tag team champion (with Mikey Whipwreck, and I can't see anytime soon, Mikey signing a legends deal with WWE, which is required for Mattel to release figures apparently) but I wanted a pair to add to the Dudley Elite figures I have. That Cactus also came with a nice cloth ECW vest and along with the belt I have removed that too from the second one I bought so it is hard to sell one minus those accessories.



So back to the point at hand, I think, as stated earlier, the RSC Exclusives should be something special and tbh, I don't think enough of them are.

Some of the responses I have had to the tweet are the John Cena nWo one and the Brian Kendrick one. Hard to disagree really, the Cena one is a cash grab and the Kendrick one, well, we needed a Mattel Kendrick figure but not sure it deserved the RSC exclusive treatment because as we all know, they are not as cheap as regular Elites, which is worse when you do have to buy more than one for reasons I stated above. I don't think I'll buy an extra Undertaker for another belt because this figure collecting game is taking it's toll on the bank balance as it is so can't be spending £30-£40 on a figure for a belt and then have the figure just lying around. I will try and get another belt on the second-hand market but I don't think there will be many knocking around.

So, after going through the two articles I wrote covering the RSC Exclusives on my site with the second one ending just before the Cena one was released, I would have to say, yes, Angle is the worst, followed by the Cena one.

So, we were given the heads up there was going to be an announcement from Ringside Collectibles on 6/3, rumours/guesses were being thrown around on social media, we knew RSC were getting an Outsiders Ultimate Edition pack exclusive to them so initially I thought it had to be full images and pre order info for them. International collectors to lose out?

There is still time, it may change but very shortly the Mattel Creations 'Coliseum Collections' Hart Foundation is due to go up for sale on the MC website, however, anyone outside the US, definitely here in the UK anyway, will not be able to order it. We haven't had an issue in the past but this was spotted by someone a few weeks ago and as of typing this, the statement which you can see below is still on their website. We all like to moan but I think international customers do get the short end of the stick. There's plenty of store exclusives that are stores that are only in the US so, if we want them have to pay over the odds to independent sellers as they have to get them imported in.  People buy from the likes of Ringside Collectibles directly and pay a premium on the shipping charges to do so when Mattel creations brought out their exclusives it was great that we could order direct from them for a shipping cost that was quite reasonable but now, well, we, as it sta...

Target (Argos in the UK) NXT Exclusives

Welcome all, I hope you're all well. The grind continues, today I’ll be taking a look at the NXT series of figures that were exclusive to Target in the US but in the UK surprisngly they were available in Argos, it's a shame they didn't do that with other US exclusives because if they had of, we'd have saved a pretty penny over the years. So, the first series consisted of 4 figures, I own 2 of the 4, still want No Way Jose, passed on him so many times but wish I hadn't.
