New Ringside Fest Figure Reveals (28/10/2021


We have all been waiting for it and it finally arrived, the autumn Ringside Fest WWE/Mattel figure reveals.

These are not in order to how they were announced but anyway, let's get on with it.

First off, Ultimate Editions, there had been some rumours about upcoming releases and it was confirmed about some of those rumours, we will be getting a third Ultimate Edition Hulk Hogan following on from the Hollywood Hogan and the Amazon Exclusive Fan Takeover Wrestle Mania IX one, many people will probably have this new one before getting their hands on the WM IX one, been a right, mess up on that, I, myself have had to resort to seeking one out on the secondary market. Anyway, this new reveal will be a Hogan based on his 1985 Wrestle Mania I look and you can see pictures of the colour renderings here but will actually come with more accesories, well, at least a entrance vest. And at WM I, Hogan teamed with Mr. T and yes, he is coming too in Ultimate Edition style. I believe he will have his entrance robe too. We have had two releases of Mr T in the Elite line, and collectors first picked up on the fact his tights were not red as they were at WM I but blue, as you can see with this UE release, they will be red.

 

Reactions have been split, many really want the Hogan but are not so keen on the Mr T probably because they think there should be others released first. Regardless, of that, I'll be picking it up as I do all the male UE releases.

On to the Elites, for Elite series 92, they showed another Rey Mysterio and a Scarlett but it was the Elite 93 reveals that got my attention, they showed a version of Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat from his WCW days and it will come with the TV title from around that time, also, there will be a chase too with different colour tights. The yellow version, like Bill Miekina said on the video, takes me back to Sproing Stampede 1994 where Steamboat faced Ric Flair, that was for the world title though. Also in series 93 will be a Charlotte Flair and first time in the line, Mace & TBar.

 There were some basics shown, a Dominik Mysterio, Randy Orton in a hoody and shorts over his wrestling gear, AJ Styles and another first in the line, Omos and Roman Reigns which will also be the chase.

Another basic set shown was the Wrestle Mania one, Seamus, Bianca Belair, Seth Rollins & Hulk Hogan based on his Wrestle Mania 2 look.

To round things off, we had in package pictures of the RSC exclusive Tomasso Ciampa and it does look great and for the first time we were shown another RSC Exclusive and this was The Undertaker based on his look around the summer of 2001. It comes with a singlet that comes down to reveal his BSK tattoo and also come s with a first time in the line release of the WCW tag title that came into the WWF that time after they had purchased WCW.

So, we were given the heads up there was going to be an announcement from Ringside Collectibles on 6/3, rumours/guesses were being thrown around on social media, we knew RSC were getting an Outsiders Ultimate Edition pack exclusive to them so initially I thought it had to be full images and pre order info for them. After talking to others, it was mentioned maybe it could be the next set of Defining Moments figures, either way, I thought it was one of these two sets. Come time for the reveal and, well, I was a bit letdown. What we got was a reveal of  more re-releases, yes, they may have updated articulation, pinless arms etc and some updated face scan technology but in essence, they are the same figures we have had before. International collectors to lose out?

There is still time, it may change but very shortly the Mattel Creations 'Coliseum Collections' Hart Foundation is due to go up for sale on the MC website, however, anyone outside the US, definitely here in the UK anyway, will not be able to order it. We haven't had an issue in the past but this was spotted by someone a few weeks ago and as of typing this, the statement which you can see below is still on their website. We all like to moan but I think international customers do get the short end of the stick. There's plenty of store exclusives that are stores that are only in the US so, if we want them have to pay over the odds to independent sellers as they have to get them imported in.  People buy from the likes of Ringside Collectibles directly and pay a premium on the shipping charges to do so when Mattel creations brought out their exclusives it was great that we could order direct from them for a shipping cost that was quite reasonable but now, well, we, as it sta

Target (Argos in the UK) NXT Exclusives

Welcome all, I hope you're all well. The grind continues, today I’ll be taking a look at the NXT series of figures that were exclusive to Target in the US but in the UK surprisngly they were available in Argos, it's a shame they didn't do that with other US exclusives because if they had of, we'd have saved a pretty penny over the years. So, the first series consisted of 4 figures, I own 2 of the 4, still want No Way Jose, passed on him so many times but wish I hadn't.
