Mattel/WWE Sets Coming Out

After seeing that Mattel were releasing another ring with an exclusive figure, I thought I need to find a way of writing about it because, well, I am not impressed to be honest.

The set in question is a Raw is War real scale ring with an exclusive Ultimate Edition Kane figure. I, as a collector of male UE figures obviously want the Kane figure but I just can't justify paying $139 plus shipping plus a customs charge for a ring I can't display just to get the figure. People may say I can maybe pick the figure up on the secondary market but a couple things on that, first, will many of them really become available and secondly, if they do, although they will be cheaper than the entire ring set, it will still be quite expensive, we are seeing the prices for the recently released Doink, Diesel and Macho Man. On that New Gen set, I see ringside Collectibles were selling the figures and maybe even the rings/entrance, I know it hasn't sat well with a lot of people who ploughed their money, myself included, into the project where Mattel Creations held onto the money for over a year and I know people that haven't even received their New Gen rings from MC and I myself, like many others, haven't received the Macho Man figure but I believe people who had ordered them off RSC have received them, overall, its a joke.

I wonder if the Kane figure will become available, like the ones from the New Gen set, on Ringside Collectibles, we shall see.

Other sets Mattel are releasing soon include the RAW one, with the RAW letters from back in the day and 3 figures, all repaints and they are Undertaker, Razor Ramon and the 123 Kid complete with cash in reference to the angle with Ramon and Kid from 1993. I would like this set but it's a Target exclusive over in the US so it will come with a premium if we want it here in the UK.

Also, I think the 3 pack of figures including Paul Heyman, Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar, which is an Amazon exclusive set, should be popping up soon, it's not one I have pre-ordered myself, not really going to go out my way for it but if it crosses my path at a decent price then I may dip in.

And finally on new sets, the Mega Powers one is coming, the Macho Man looks cool with the robe but the Hogan is very same same to past ones, very much resembles the Defining Moments one, maybe as it's based on his look about a year before the Mega Powers was formed, it sort of makes sense. I will need to get it as I collect all Hogan/Savage Elites, just not pre-ordered it just yet.

So moving on, an update from the last blog, it was covering  the Ultimate Editions and I put in there that UE series 16 will see AJ Styles debut in the line and at that point I didn't know who would be the second figure and it came out I think the day after I published that blog that the other figure in UE 16 will be Razor Ramon. A good choice for the line for me, someone suggested to me on twitter that maybe it could be based on his look from Wrestle Mania X, maybe with a metal looking gold chain as they did back in the JAKKS days, 2 IC belts and even a ladder, that would be great.

That's it guys, let me know what you think of the sets coming up but more importantly, what do you think of them releasing another ring and officially, it's the only way to get the UE Kane figure.
